Geashill N.S. Hosts Nativity Play

On Thursday December 18th the children from Geashill N.S. performed their annual Nativity Play in Raheen church. Pupils from 1st and 2nd classes played the leading characters of Mary, Joseph, Shepherds, angels, innkeepers, Herod and the Three Kings.
Junior and Senior Infants performed an action poem called "Busy, Busy, Busy."
The choir, which was made up of 3rd to 6th classes, sang a beautiful selection of carols, played tin whistles and performed "The First Noel" using bells.
As Geashill N.S. has a special class for Deaf children, the evening ended appropriately with 5th and 6th classes wishing the large crowd a Happy Christmas using Sign Language.
